Hey, I get it. Life has a way of getting pretty gnarly in both the best and worst of times. I imagine you sitting across this screen and feeling a variety of emotions. Maybe you’re feeling tired, overloaded, confused, hurt, angry, anxious, depressed, lonely, isolated, or numb. Maybe you’ve had some major transitions come your way and feel like you’re still making heads or tails of the situation. You may even find yourself stuck in some unhealthy relationships or patterns of behavior. I hope you know I see you in your struggle and you are far from alone.
You are not forgotten.
My hope is to help you remember who you truly are at your core, and to empower you to love yourself genuinely and completely. I believe this humble and compassionate self-love is what allows everything else in life to fall into place. And I believe you have the capacity to authentically love yourself.
Some things I feel pretty passionate about in life and therapy are deep connections with others, kind and secure relationships with ourselves, and authentically driven living. I believe we are created for relationships, and we have to be intentional about these relationships with ourselves and others to really live the life we want to lead. Life is beautiful, crazy, and wild. It takes courage each day to show up and do the hard work of loving ourselves and others. But I’m convinced it’s the stuff that makes life worth living.
Love changes things.
Maybe you’re looking to understand yourself better; To know how you see yourself, relate to others, and what causes you to react rather than respond. Perhaps you’ve experienced pain and trauma that you need help to process and heal from. Maybe you’re not feeling particularly safe in your body and would like to establish a healthier mind-body connection. You may even have lost someone or something very precious to you that others don’t really know how to sit with and respond to.
I’d love to help you with that.
In my practice, I tend to prioritize relationships and focus on family backgrounds and attachment patterns. I love helping clients make connections between their childhood upbringings and present day relationships, exploring how they learned to cope in relationships and examining what’s been helpful and unhelpful in this process. I’m also very passionate about helping client’s learn to feel more at home in their own bodies. My heart is to help them understand and communicate more effectively with their nervous systems. I take a trauma informed approach in practice through EMDR, IFS, DBT, and somatic resourcing. During treatment, I also place emphasis on mindfulness, self-care, and appropriate boundary setting/maintaining.
All this is to say that if you find yourself struggling, I’d love to help you navigate through this season. Let me help you make sense of the things you’ve been through. I believe understanding is possible for you. I believe you have the resources within yourself to change things. I also believe you have the power to improve your relationship with yourself and others. My heart is to meet you where you are. I want you to feel seen and heard. Know I’m here and I’ve got tools and resources I’d love to share with you as you walk down this road. It may be long, but you don’t have to walk it alone.
