Insurance Coverage Information For Therapy & Session Rates
Some of our therapists are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) insurance.
If you have BCBS, we will check your benefits/cost prior to our first session.
What if I don’t have BCBS? Will my other insurance plan cover therapy?
For all other insurance plans, we are out-of-network. We can provide you with documentation (a superbill), which can be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement depending on your out-of-network benefits. Ultimately, you are responsible for the full fee at the time of each session. For this option, your insurance must cover out-of-network provider services for psychotherapy.
55-minute therapy session total: $140
55-minute therapy session total with therapist Leigh Mohorn: $100
To determine your eligibility for reimbursement, you may inquire directly with your insurance provider. Helpful questions to ask:
Do I have out-of-network, outpatient mental health benefits?
What is my deductible and how much have I already paid towards it?
How many sessions does my plan cover per calendar year?
How much does my plan cover per therapy session?
You also have the ability to pay for your sessions out of pocket.
Additionally, psychotherapy is typically covered by pre-tax Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) and Health Spending Accounts (HSAs).
Questions About Therapy & What To Expect In Your First Therapy Session

The length and nature of therapy is different for every client. That being said, therapy typically lasts between 8 and 20+ sessions, with a client’s motivation and efforts between sessions often resulting in faster change.
Many clients feel relief after the first few sessions.
I recommend you begin weekly or at the most every other week to build momentum for change. Over time depending on your progress, you have the ability to have less frequent sessions (once every other week, once every three weeks, once a month, etc) to continue maintaining the work you have put into your healing journey.

Yes, absolutely! I would never want a lack of childcare to keep you from getting the help you need. I ask that you bring baby’s favorite toys. I try to keep the office easy to “baby proof”. BUT if you want therapy to be a time just for you, that is perfectly okay, too! IF it’s overwhelming to even think about getting baby ready and out the door, I offer teletherapy over video or phone to make the process of getting help a little easier.

We’ll approach this on a case-by-case basis. Bringing children over age two to therapy can present challenges. The therapy process will sometimes bring up sensitive or painful topics, and it’s often not ideal for children. That said, as I noted above, I never want a lack of childcare to keep you from getting the help you need, so we’ll discuss your situation and figure out the best way forward. Make sure you keep teletherapy (video or phone call) in mind as an option!

I do! I offer this service to interested clients (ages 13 and up). There are so many benefits to movement, including great therapy sessions. If you’re interested in doing walk and talk therapy, we’ll discuss the process during your initial intake session to see if it feels like a good fit. If it does, we can start meeting outside and walking while we do our sessions.
