I know that it can be intimidating and scary to take the first step of deciding you want to find a therapist.
I promise, you are welcome here.
I imagine you are here because you are struggling with anxious thoughts, feeling overwhelmed, and in survival mode a lot of the time.
You might be struggling with your confidence.
You might be struggling with a new transition in your life.
You might be having some scary thoughts.
You might be feeling as though you have lost a part of yourself somewhere along the way.
I'm here to help you manage anxiety, find peace and joy in more of your moments and days, build your confidence, and thrive in your life.
Whether you are facing anxiety, depression, navigating pregnancy, infertility, motherhood, or want to work through old wounds that have never healed, I want to walk with you. Together, we can look at your experiences with grace and care, create awareness of the belief systems that may be holding you back, and create tangible skills to help you cope during moments of anxiety and stress so you can find peace in your life you deserve.
I’m so glad you are here.
My background
I obtained my Masters of Social Work at the University of South Carolina and have over 8 years experience in the mental health field.
I became a therapist because I believe people are pretty incredible and capable of everlasting growth and change. The relationship you have with your therapist is one of the most important factors in determining how successful therapy will be for you.
I have a passion for maternal mental health and am in the process of obtaining advanced training in perinatal and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders (Perinatal Mental Health Certification). I specialize in treating the concerns of women across the lifespan including pregnancy, postpartum mood and anxiety, miscarriage, birth trauma, grief, reproductive issues (infertility, high risk pregnancies), complex trauma, self-esteem issues, and transitions in life.
I also enjoy working with teenagers and their families through the teens' experience of anxiety, self-esteem issues, difficulty getting along with parents, and managing school stressors.
I have experience working in psychiatric hospital settings, ERs, inpatient substance abuse treatment, and medical social work.
I live in Daphne, AL with my husband, IVF miracle baby, and dog. When I’m not working, you can find me working out (in group fitness classes because I have no discipline to get it done on my own), reading, going on walks and adventures with my family, and planning my next trip to Harry Potter world at Universal Studios.
I can relate to many of the struggles you are facing. You have done an amazing job so far at building ways to cope with everything life has thrown at you in the ways you and your brain know how. Therapy can help you build new and healthier ways to manage anxiety, stress, depression, and everything in between.
I believe healing is a process and that a safe space in therapy filled with empathy is one of the most important steps to help you thrive in your life in every way.
